The Bank of England committee who set interest rates. These rates are referred to by banks and building societies when choosing how much interest they should charge those with loans and mortgages, or when deciding how much interest to pay savers.
The committee consists of nine members who set interest rates at a level that will enable the inflation target to be met.
Each member has expert knowledge in the field of economics and monetary policy.
The current members are:
