3.7 What are football club credit cards?

Credit card providers have recognised that keen football supporters want to support their favourite team in every way possible and have issued football credit cards for most major teams in the country; with each card displaying the colours, branding and logo of the relevant team.

For most football fans, being able to have a credit card that shows which team they support is enough but some credit cards often offer further benefits including promotions and reward schemes. Rewards and other benefits offered are usually related to football in some way with some cards offering points towards products and services associated with the club.

Some football credit cards will make a donation to the club each time the card is used to make a purchase, much like charity credit cards. This means that the fan is supporting their team at no extra cost to themselves.

On top of this, football credit cards usually come with typical APRs and introductory 0% interest offers similar to those offered by standard credit cards so you may not have to compromise on these features to get the club card you really want.
