Do not book holiday insurance with Avanti. Their insurance does not cover you when something happens whilst on holiday thanks to the "special exclusions" section hidden away at the end of their policy. They also use another company to deal with claims called Jubilee Service Solutions so watch out for them too. I had my suitcase and backpack stolen while I was in New Zealand - lots of clothes, some valuables and some presents were stolen. They refused to pay out for any item that I didn't have a receipt or a photo for which is completely unreasonable when it comes to clothes. I was even accused of fraud because I'd provided labels from some clothing items because I hadn't got any more evidence. They didn't cover the valuables because they were in a vehicle, despite it being a campervan and being locked away. They knocked 10% off everything (at least) as "depreciation" even though I had many items that were less than a month old or even brand new (presents for family etc). 50% of the price comes off cosmetics too so for perfumes/after shaves that are new or even brand new you still don't get your money back. They refused to pay for a camera case that had come as part of a bundle so didn't have a price associated with it (even though I'd provided evidence) which is ridiculous too - I still owned the case (and proved it) and now need to replace it! Finally they had the cheek to initially try missing items off the payment list of things I had provided evidence for! The worst one was that I'd provided a receipt that contained 5 items on it - all bought in New Zealand and they tried paying me for 2 of them! When Which? did their review they obviously didn't get anything stolen! At least check section 14 of the policy before you book. They are corrupt and should not be allowed to trade. Stay away.
