I've now switched away from the Capital One Classic, but if I hadn't got this card I would never have repaired my credit to the point where I can now get a cash back card! Hooray :-)

"Capital One Classic opened the door to future credit"

If I hadn't have got my Capital One Classic I don't think I'd ever be in the position I am now where I find it easier to get credit. My credit rating soared and this never would have happened if it weren't for the door that Capital One opened for me. It was easy to get accepted too but I only got a low limit and high interest rate. To be honest, I think that's expected and don't consider it a negative.

"A chance to build my credit history"

This card has given me a chance to rebuild my credit score so i use it for buying stuff and pay it off straight away meaning I don't have to pay interest.
I got to have a choice of cool pictures on the front of my card which was a nice little extra.
There aren't any offers on this card

Having read an article on this site about rebuilding your credit score, I applied for the Captal One Classic Credit Card to try and rebuild mine. The product is obviously for those with less than a perfect finance history so is not as competitve as a standard card, however, standard products were not an option for me. Product aside, I must say that I was extremely impressed with the whole level of service. Setting up was so easy, I never have any trouble getting through by phone and every process just seems to be painless. Capital One really have got their heads screwed on when it comes to customer service and it made a refreshing change.Obviously the APR is high but I know this is always the case unfotunately when you have a shadey past.
