The application process went pretty smoothly and the APR is reasonably competitive.
It has been two weeks since I sent back the signed credit agreement and over a week since I have received my pin, but I still don't have my credit card.
In all fairness this may not be Sainsbury's fault but I would hope that they would check to see if the card had arrived by seeing that it hasn't yet been activated and therefore might be lost in the post.

"what's my credit limit?" - Anon (08-May-2008)
The card offers 12 month interest free on purchases at Sainsbury's stores so it is handy to use for my shopping. Plus I can earn extra Nectar points on whatever I put on the card.
It was hard to find the credit limit I was awarded on the correspondence they sent out to me and they only told me my limit when they sent me the card. It would have been better if they'd have told me my limit once they had approved me for the card because if it didn't suit my needs I could've tried to find a card with a more suitable limit within the cooling off period.

"12 minutes to register my Sainsbury's credit card" - Anon (17-Jul-2008)
The Sainsbury's credit card comes with free additional nectar points which are way better than Clubcard points because they can be redeemed whenever I want not when the store wants me to.
I rang to register my credit card and they kept me on the phone for 12 minutes trying to sell me everything under the sun.
I told the woman I didn't want anything else and that I just wanted to register my card but she just went ok then and carried on reading from her script! This cost me a fortune to ring on my mobile and really annoyed me!
