My Capital One platinum credit card was stolen when I was on holiday and Capital one offered to bring me an emergency card that day even though I was in Southern France.
Ever since it happened they have rung me to confirm large and odd payments so I am very happy with their service and feel that it is secure.

The APR on the Capital One Platinum credit card is way better than on their classic credit card.
The 0% on balance transfers and purchases is the best offer I have seen for ages on a credit card.
Thei email communications are great; they are always very helpful and I have never had to follow up any enquiries by telephone. This is handy as it keeps my phone bills down.
I had my card delivered to me very promptly.

I have had my Platinum card for many years and have had no trouble with it at all. When on holiday my wife's card was stolen, the thieves got nothing from the account and the card was replaced very quickly. They even offered to get an emergency card to me in the South of France that day. Since then they have rung me to confirm large payments, odd payments (such as car hire in south australia and food purchase in France on the same day). i am happy with their service and I feel the card is secure. Peace of mind is very important.
