Tesco launches new health insurance deals
30 April 2009 12:04:27
Consumers can access three types of cover.
Tesco Health Insurance has unveiled three new levels of health insurance which "do what they say on the tin".
The supermarket giant is offering Operations & Procedures cover as well as the additional options of Consultations & Tests and Additional Therapies.
Cover is priced at approximately £21 per month for a 35-year-old when choosing a six-week option with their new policy, while customers can receive three months insurance cover for free if they take out a policy from 30 April.
Jeremy Sutton, head of Tesco Health Insurance, said, "We launched Tesco Health Insurance in January 2007 with the aim of making it affordable, simple to understand and easy to buy.
"We have launched these new levels of cover in response to feedback, which told us customers wanted flexibility and choice, with a range of options, to suit their needs."
The six-week option states that if the NHS cannot provide treatment within this period, the customer can be treated privately as part of the Operations & Procedure cover.
