Global Traveller card does not charge withdrawal fees.
Caxton FX has been touting its Global Traveller prepaid credit card, which it believes is the perfect solution for students going on a gap year.
Various reports have suggested that increasing numbers of young Britons are opting to take a year abroad while the UK economy continues to struggle and Caxton claimed that its prepaid credit card can offer peace of mind for the parents of these students.
The firm explained that its product is the only prepaid currency card which does not charge customers withdrawal fees in other countries, unlike other providers which levy cardholders for using credit cards abroad.
"Our card offers stress-free, seamless spending overseas," said James Hickman, Caxton FX managing director.
"We're excited to offer considerable savings and security on gap year spending - an attractive prospect for parents whose offspring are heading off on a year abroad."
The Global Traveller card can be loaded with up to £5,000 and can be re-charged in any country, Caxton added.
