Egg Savings account has a 6.55% gross pa/AER variable (includes an introductory 12 month variable bonus rate of 1.80% gross pa from the date your account is opened) on balances up to £100,000. No interest payable on balances over £100,000, during the first 12 months.

After the introductory period, rate then reverts to the underlying rate that is currently 4.75% gross pa/AER variable.

There are no penalities for withdrawals, plus you have access to the account 24 hours a day.  You can open an account with a £1.
