Acceptance criteria
A set of conditions that must be met in order to be given a credit facility like a credit card or loan.
Lenders are responsible for formulating the acceptance criteria for their products and anything goes once the lender has taken care of incorporating the legal terms ? such as setting the minimum age for their credit facility to at least 18 years as law states it must be.
Acceptance criteria are likely to vary significantly between different lenders and then between each product the individual lender offers.
