The reward may be in the form of cash given back to your account, in some cases up to 2% of what you have spent, or rewards through a points based scheme.
Cash back credit cards usually credit the amount earned back to your account. When choosing a cash back credit card, it is worth considering whether this will occur on an instant, monthly or yearly basis.
Attractive credit card loyalty schemes sometimes come at the price of higher interest rates. If you are not someone who pays off their bill in full each month then this may not be the best choice for you. If you are not careful you could end up paying more in interest than you have gained in rewards.
Reward schemes are many and varied so it's well worth making sure that the one you choose is suitable for you.
