A car policy certainly won’t cover your motorbike even if you only use it on one sunny weekend a year.
Bike riders who use their motorbikes every day for travel to work will have a different insurance profile to those who use a bike occasionally at the weekend for pleasure only. An off road bike will attract a different premium than an on road bike as will a high spec sports bike. Low mileage means lower risk and that again will be reflected in the premium. Within the general category of motorbike insurance there are many variations of type and use so only by comparing with your bike in mind can you see what deals are on offer.
As riding a motorcycle means that you have to have certain equipment such as leathers and a helmet it’s tempting to imagine that those will be automatically covered in your bike insurance but this is rarely the case. If you do want to cover your accessories for any damage look to add them on to your policy which will almost certainly mean a slightly higher premium.
