Breakdown Cover Types

There are four main types of breakdown cover: basic, premium, comprehensive and European. The type of cover you need will depend on your driving habits and how much you can afford.

When looking for breakdown cover, bear in mind where and when you might break down and choose cover accordingly. If you only use your car for travelling around your local town, you would not benefit from having national recovery but may benefit from a home start feature. However, if you spend a lot of your day travelling, you are more likely to benefit from a more comprehensive policy.
