The new MBNA Platinum Visa Credit Card, which has been launched today, is offering consumers a low life of balance transfer rate of 5.90% (subject to a 2% admin fee).

This means that any balance you transfer over to the card will only have 5.90% interest charged on it until the balance is cleared, meaning the card is an ideal solution for consolidating your debts.

It also offers a competitive typical APR of 16.9% (variable) for card purchases and, because it is a Visa credit card, offers extra online protection because you can set up an online PIN via ‘Verified by Visa’ which will make it a lot harder to use your card fraudulently should it fall into the wrong hands.

What’s more, you will have access to a free 24-hour worldwide Customer Satisfaction Helpline and will be able to manage your credit card account online.

To apply for this card you need to be at least 18 years of age and a UK resident and if you make your application online between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday you could get an instant decision.
