Alliance & Leicester Premier Direct provides 8.5% AER (fixed for a year).  Plus 0% EAR overdraft for the first 12 months, after the 1st year if the overdraft is used a charge will apply, overdraft limit is £2,500.  A minimum deposit of £500 is required each month.
